It's been long time no update here
This will be my Bangkok entry
And it's happening on last November
Should be 2014's post but I am the one delayed it.
Day 1 routine:
Btu -KL - BKK
Heading to KL by MAS
Preferable using MAS now because they fly On time.
Playing around the airport while waiting the time to depart To BKK
Holiday mood face.
Fly to BKk by MAS too. And enjoyed my TV show time with "the conjuring " again
Aka Annabelle part1
My second time watching still very love horror movie.
I forget that my last visit to BKK is by air Asia... And AA usually landed at Don Muang Airport..
I keep my mind that BKK only have one airport but I were wrong.
As I very confident on how to go hotel from Don Muang airport
But but but! Meanwhile.....
Malaysia airlines landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport!
Fine. My effort to do the revision is kinda waste/ no help.
So I have to figure out how to go from airport to town with cheapest/ fastest/ most convenient way.
First of all, calm down and went to kastam/ imigresen checking first.
Then refer to the signboard heading to counter which selling phone card.
Purchase a local phone card with reasonable price
It is necessarily to get a SIM card in strange country cox they offered free data for about 7days + chargeable local call + international call
As u have data connection phone on hand, u can online check every tour guide from website & you won't get lost too If u have GPS with u..
So, in conclusion, Internet connection is very important during traveling yea.
I dunno why there's long queue at taxi station there so we think it's necessary to take a taxi to bangkok
Somemore it was quite late at night, nearly 10pm in BKK, and luggages with us.
We worried if we take BTS or monorail we need walk for quiet some distance to reach hotel
or the time taken to reach hotel will be longer.
So we decided to take taxi
BUT, but again here.
Please beware of the taxi charges they charged on you. some of them just... too bad!
We were the victims...BAD experience!!!
As we queue up to take queue number, then we follow the number to take the taxi
The taxi driver served us kinda impolite and No smile, no greeting and NO help us place our luggages into car rear bonnect!
But hey, it's doesnt matter! i am ok with those..
He just asking where we want to go.
In the car, he suddenly tell us, we need pay overall taxi fare, 500baht
WHAT? i direct check from internet and most of them said normally 300-400baht charged from Suvarnabhumi airport to bangkok city included TOLL fees, okay!
He said nowadays is this kind of rate and he need pay toll fees etc ....
Hey, toll fees only around 25baht per way like that dont cheating me okay.
I really get fed up with his attitude and try to nego with him.
Telling him last time we went BKK with cheaper taxi fare etc...
He still dont want deduct the fares. So i leave the taxi in very angry way.
不是花不起,只是很不甘愿吃这等亏!
Checked in the Bangkok City hotel,
kindly visit agoda.com or its website for great deal.
The toilet, as you can seen from mirror
Got bath tub & clean too
**Recommended!
Reasonable price at RM119per night
@clean & comfortable
@spacious room
@free breakfast
@friendly reception staffs
@near to BTS & 7-11 is just next to the hotel
Next again to the 7-11 is a food street where alots of nice food& fruits selling there!
Every things just worth the price!
Settled down everything, rest, and then food hunting...
We decided to have some dinner+supper.
Heading to night market street which just beside our hotel.
Also food/ body massage everywhere with Superb cheap fare!
HEY HEY. MASSAGE is a MUST in BANGKOK one!
Pass by..the massage shop. Have to fill my stomach first..
Street food are quite ok for me.
Just sit at the roadside and enjoy their food
Kinda relax while seeing motorcars, motors, trishaws around..
Fruits in Bangkok are delicous thou, especially mangoes. Another MUST.
The second day, after breakfast in the hotel.
We decided to walk to the Centre of Bangkok- Siam.
Actually there is BTS services nearby our hotel but since it's our first day in Bangkok,
(while we are still energize enough to walk to our destination, so we walked)
Realized my photos doesn't look nice..
I think a camera may produce better photos resolution
Nah.. I'm not professional blogger so bo hiam liao la..
It's shopping day.
I shopped alots of NARAYA bags for my ex-colleagues as per requested by them.
Naraya is Thailand signature branded bags.
Pretty light to carry on and somehow its simple design is yet so fashionable.
MoSt important is, their products are sold at reasonable price & vary with different sizes.
Actually they not allowed to capture photo
But since I need asking colleague 's opinion about which one they want,
& I have to do so.. Sorry!
Many special & unique printed as I feel like wanna owned all of them!
Somehow feel like wanna collect them in different sizes!
So, guys! Naraya is a MUST buy item in Thailand. #myadvice
Step into a very "wow" luxury toilet in Siam Paragon
No enterance fee charges!
👍👍👍👍👍
Right after whole morning of shopping section, from
Siam discovery- Siam Centre - Siam Paragon
We decided to have lunch at Paragon food court before we continue shopping to Central World
Again, never miss Thailand signature dessert, Mangoes Sticky Rice!
I superb missed this after my last visit to Thailand in year 2013
So this time I must get this!
#myadvice Must eat their mangoes sticky rice
You will never get lost if you got a map in hand.
Get this map from hotel reception counter
My hotel - bangkok city suite( as shown as blue box with tall building on the map)
Walked from hotel to shopping centre is actually a bit far and tiring for eldest
If so, u may get your BTS train at N1 and drop at SIAM CEN station (暹罗车站)
Christmas tree vs macaroons!
How smart! Rolls Royce!
Of course by walking along the street you can fully enjoy every nice scenes in this busy city!
The kitty dessert house or restaurant
(I am not the fans so no point to go in)
If you feel really tired you may grab a tuk tuk along the roadside
Inside tuk tuk you can sense the busy city too.
Also, another tourism attraction location!
Please refer to the map above
This is so called the 4 faces Buddha (四面佛)
Located in front the ERAWAN shrine, a shopping mall there!
One of the famous Buddha in Bangkok which already become a MUST visit place for tourists!
Always in tour guide list.
There's a MCD in the mall
Since I am Christian so I dint join my friend pray section at 4facesbuddha
So I decided to have some refreshment at MCD of course;
Another MUST here,
PORK burger from MCD, which you never ever get from MCD Malaysia one!
Very juicy & tasty!
Christmas trees deco everywhere also!
This is just in front the Siam discovery
Old-time TV Christmas tree!
Shinning & super huge Christmas tree!
Until my hp screen also not enough to capture whole pic
Carrying the many Naraya bags & walk here and there whole day
So finally decided to take BTS too..
While walking along the bridge,
We saw many snoopies so we decided to touch down to take pics with those lovely snoopies!
That night I met a lots of snoopies!!!
This has got me real craze!
Endless snoopy photo booming
Another huge Christmas tree in front Siam paragon
We decided to walk back to hotel
So Never miss out the most famoust chicken rice
It's located at opposite Palladium mall
Which we'll pass by the chicken rice shop on our way to hotel
Just a simple chicken rice shop which only selling chicken rice & side dishes!
Can bet how famous it is
No empty places while we reach there
And we gonna stand beside & wait for others leave
It's an ordinary chicken (for me la)
But the rice is definitely fragrant!
The sauce they made so yummy.
Dip the chicken with the sauce is quite nice one
This coke is very cheap lo! 12 baht!
If Malaysia one can need RM2 what
(I mean in cafe)
Their soup taste good!
Just too salty!( I think it's kind of local spice)
Because I found that others stall which selling chicken rice + side soup also taste the same saltiness
Just like Thai style milk tea
Too sweet for me.. Hmm.. I prefer Malaysian style milk tea lor..
Walk quite a long way to hotel
Before back hotel, foot massages is necessary to release tighteness of legs since walking too much of the day
My advice #must get massage in Thailand
Very super cheap! One hour 200 -250 baht
WHY NOT?
As long as they no charge more than 300 baht, u can go in to have your massage
And seriously I like thai style massage!
Quite pain but it's beyond its comfortable way!
Relaxing massage end my first shopping day in Bangkok
Stay tuned for my second day trip routine..
